Rugby World Cup Finale

We are sure you were as mesmerised as we were by the last games of the Rugby World Cup, culminating in that incredibly close final between South Africa and New Zealand.

Both teams had won the trophy a record three times and South Africa were looking, not only for a fourth victory, but also a consecutive win having been the victors in 2019.

Many of the players from 2019 were also in this final including South African scrum half Faf de Klerk and Captain Siya Kolisi, and New Zealand brothers Beauden and Jordie Barrett.

The final was extremely close and very physical, with several yellow cards given out by referee Wayne Barnes. The New Zealand captain received a red card meaning that his team had to play with 14 players for a large proportion of the match.

South Africa were ultimately victorious with the final score 11-12.
