Octopush

What is Octopush?

A fantastic game of underwater hockey! Players swim with snorkels, masks, fins and a water polo hat holding a very small stick.

Aim of the Game

The aim of the game is to push a puck across the bottom of the pool to score in the opponent team’s goal.

Under water

Unlike some water sports all the action is under the water – hence the snorkel- so players have to really time their dives in order to save their breath.

Team sport

There are 10 players in a team but only 6 are in the water at any one time.

If you love swimming (you need to be at least stage 7 of the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme) but don’t enjoy swimming lengths or the idea of Water Polo, this game could be for you........
