Welcome to our October issue! Full of fun sport to read about!

Be Inspired - Sports to try this Autumn and Winter

As the new school term begins, we are very aware that not all of the sports on offer at your schools will appeal. However, we also strongly believe that there will be a sport out there for you.

Rugby World Cup
Update

As we go 'live' with this October edition, the Rugby World Cup has provided some incredibly exciting matches and, thankfully more recently, fewer illegal tackles.

Here is an update on the progress of the home nations in the World Cup.

Canoeing

The British team achieved their best ever performance at September's 2023 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships. The Championships took place at the Lee Valley White Water Centre and saw the British team finish with eight medals in total - five gold, two silver and one bronze.

Survival of the Sickest

The Survival of the Sickest skateboarding competition aims to encourage young skateboarders to have a go at competing in a positive and fun environment.

Updated MySkate App

Skateboard GB is proud to announce the launch of the updated MySkate App, which now features over 2000 skateparks and also now hundreds of skate spots across the UK.

Youngest International Umpire

A student at Millfield school has become the youngest ever international cricket umpire during the Kwibuka Women’s T20 tournament.
