Basketball is one of the most popular team sports in the UK, with over 300,000 people playing the game and over 33,000 players competing across 700 local and national leagues.
Basketball continues to grow every year with more and more children taking up the sport.
Wheelchair Basketball

CRICKET
2019 was a fantastic year for cricket and English cricket in particular.
England won the Men’s World Cup and Ben Stokes won the BBC Sports Personality of the Year and has just been awarded an OBE by HM The Queen!
This month it’s the Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup.
BADMINTON
We are talking about the sport of badminton this month because it’s the All England Open Badminton Championships in Birmingham.
Badminton is a high energy, fun game and most leisure centres near you will have sessions available for your age group. If you visit www.badmintonengland.co.uk and click on ‘Play’ it will take you to a search section and you can put your postcode in to find something near you.
GOLF
Our last article on Golf was in August 2019, issue 3 of the magazine. That article told you about how to get started with this great sport and about the Girls Golf Rocks campaign. As well as including lots of great videos and an interview with a young golfer Jessie Sheridan.
