The Sports This Month

Golf

Founded in 2005, the British Junior Golf Tour (BJGT) is a well-established and well-respected name in junior golf which attracts some of the best junior golfers from all around the UK, and beyond.

SURFING

Surfing is becoming increasingly popular in England – the sport is tons of fun and really gets the adrenaline going.

This month, due to amateur snooker waiting for the green light to reopen again, we are looking at some new elite young players joining the professional World Snooker Tour for the coming season.

Girls in Gloves

Girls In Gloves was set up after we received funding from Maverick Stars Trust to launch a Girls Boxing Project locally after being nominated by our National Governing Body England Boxing.

Athletics

The Olympics and Paralympics were supposed to be in full swing at the moment. Athletes competed at countless events in 2019 to be in with a chance to make the Olympic team.

BASEBALL

The British Baseball Federation (BBF) is the National Governing Body of baseball and they have given us this exclusive article to tell you some breaking news about baseball in the U.K!!

 

Return to football

The FA has just announced that competitive football can begin again for your age group BUT your clubs and coaches will need to follow the strict guidelines and here’s how you can help.

There are lots of great things going on at the moment, despite the situation we are in. Take a look below.

YST - How active have most kids been in lockdown?

Did you know that the majority of children under 16 (93%) have continued to do something to stay active during lockdown but the amount of activity they are doing has fallen.
